Helpformommy’s 10 Commandments for Mother’s Helpers:
Thou Shall….
1. Register now if you are willing to work at a family’s home.
2. Input the correct name of one city per line during registration and spell it correctly.
3. NOT divulge contact information during registration in other than areas provided.
4. Initiate contact by sending a text message and writing in family’s blog/message board if you’re interested in working for them.
5. Check the website at least weekly for new jobs posted and to update/refine your profile.
- Renew your profile after 30 days if you are still available. Just login and select renew profile. This action both confirms your availability and that are taking responsibility in letting families know.
- Creatively use all of the available features offered to help you find work.
- Arrive at least 15 minutes early for all appointments.
- Write a testimonial and tell a friend if you like your experience with using Helpformommy.com.
- Contact us if you have any questions and/or problems.
This is not the typical babysitter/nanny website where you sit around waiting for a phone call from an interested family. Helpformommy.com allows you to post your experience for a variety of categories. When you see a job available in your city, you can contact that family immediately through your text message and/or blog feature. Remember, the squeaky wheel gets the grease. There are several features available for you to let families know about you in many creative ways. Tools available include:
Text Message: If provided in their profile, you can contact families via mobile phone. It’s easy; just go to the families profile, ensure that you are registered and logged in, select the Send text Msg link, and fill out your information. Ensure that you include your name and contact info in the message; otherwise, you will NOT be contacted.
Blog: Write on the family’s blog for which you are interested in working. The blog gives you the ability to post different text, backgrounds, photos, images and even the ability to link to other websites. Only registered users may use/view this area.
My Page: Use this as your personal canvass to create whatever you wish to make your profile more interesting. You can post your resume, photos of work that you have performed in the past, photos of satisfied customers, etc.
Photo: Place your favorite photograph for display on your chosen profile template. Along with the information you provide during registration, the photo you chose can speak a thousand more words.
Video: Upload a short 10 mb video to express yourself and your abilities. Your video can be fun and creative. Until we upgrade this feature, You’ll need to make a statement in your details text box for users to select the video box to see your recording.
Voice: Place a 10 mb greeting or introduction. Say something special. Until we upgrade this feature, you’ll need to make a statement in your details text box for users to select the voice box to hear your recording.
Remember, all of these features are free for your use. You can use them to help you quickly find work.
